Meadham Kirchhoff have been scenting their catwalk shows with Penhaligon’s fragrances for years. But now the quirky east London based design duo have teamed up with master perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour to create Tralala: an opulent floriental of their own, to spritz their whimsical, theatrical runways of wonderment!
Tralala is a multi-faceted scent, capturing the very essence of Meadham Kirchhoff – an enchanting fusion of old-fashioned frills and twisted modernity.
Top notes include fizzy aldehydes with saffron, violet leaf absolute, whisky and galbanum. The heart mixes carnation, leather, tuberose, ylang ylang, oris and incense; and in the base, myrrh resinoid, opoponax absolute, patchouli, vetiver, cedarwood, heliotrope, musk and vanilla.
All in a bottle with a painted doll reminiscent of Meadham Kirchhoff past shows – and sealed with an oversized, velvet bow. (Style note: bows and bottles seem to be big, this season.)
Penhaligon’s Tralala, Priced at £150 for 100ml eau de parfum
