The Osmothèque is coming to London! Get your noses ready…

Noses at the ready! We’re delighted to tell you that the Osmothèque will be coming to London, once more, on 4th May 2017.
For those of you that aren’t acquainted with the Osmothèque, it is the world’s largest fragrance archive – and when it’s not travelling the world, it lives in Versailles. With over 3,200 perfumes, and over 400 of those discontinued, it serves as somewhat of a historical scent encyclopaedia.
Not all of us can journey to Versailles at the drop of a hat – so this is what makes this ‘Osmothèque-on-tour’ experience so incredibly special, and why we’re so thrilled to be sharing this news with you today.
IFRA UK are pleased to host a rare and exclusive opportunity to explore and enjoy the delights of the world’s first international scent library under the expert guidance of perfumer Christophe Laudamiel from New York’s Academy of Perfumery & Aromatics.
Christophe will take you on a historical scented flight into the artistic 21st Century, showcasing fabulous archived scents from the Osmothèque and scents from Christophe’s seven solo shows in New York and Berlin. These will include some from his most recent exhibition in NYC “Over 21”: scents designed to evoke complex and adult responses to topics of sex, addiction, taboos and recreation.’
The day will unfold as follows:
10.00 – Coffee and registration
10.30 – Session starts
12.30 – Sandwich lunch
13.00 – Close
Tickets are £225 + VAT  and are very limited to non-IFRA members, so please do be sure to book quickly…
Date: Thursday 4th May 2017
Venue: Portland Suite, Cavendish Conference Centre, 22 Duchess Mews, London, W1G 9DT
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BOOK, AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CONTACT JULIE YOUNG AT:  [email protected]
As we all know, perfume can be such a social commentary on our times – so we’re sure that this will be not only historically fascinating, but an absolute treat for your nose…
NB This event is organised by IFRA UK rather than The Perfume Society – but we’ve been specially invited to open it up to our Subscribers…
