We’d quite like globe-trotting überstylist Charlotte Stockdale‘s life: her in-house role as Style Editor for Jo Malone London, her gorgeous houses (and her equally gorgeous Australian designer husband Marc Newson, now working with Apple…)
But for now, we’ll make do with her new collection of home fragrance, which captures some of her travel memories. My Wanderlust is a beautiful collection, with its watercolour packaging, whisking us to the far corners of the world.
The Atlas Mountains… Moroccan roses swirl alongside aromatic cardamom, spiced with ginger (and earthy touches of chamomile), captured in the Cardamom & Moroccan Rose Home Candle, £42
The Mediterranean… The Night Jasmine & Oregano Scent SurroundTM Linen Spray comes with its only travel bag (we suggest spritzing the bag itself before slipping the bottle inside): this is a balmy breeze from the Med, carrying traces of aromatic thyme and pink pepper, garlanded with jasmine. It’s ‘warm and fragrance hillsides, after the heat of the day,’ explains Charlotte. £42 for 50ml
An English summer’s garden… This is our favourite in the collection – and definitely the most innovative: a new way to scent your drawers (and, um, drawers?) Box Hedge Square Scent is actually a rubber square (see picture below), deeply infused with the cool, green scent of English box hedging – like stepping into the shade, out of the sun. (Not sure how they do that with a square of rubber, but it works.) Two squares/£40
