Fragrance family: WOODY
Editions Perfumes is based in London’s cool East end, but the inspiration for this new shareable fragrance comes from way out West. Editions founder Timothy Han was inspired by Jack Kerouac’s classic 1957 trans-American road trip novel.
Lemon, bergamot and lavandin give it a fresh opening, with rich smoky notes evoking the San Fransisco jazz clubs frequented by the Beat Generation, with benzoin adding an intriguing hint of hot asphalt.
This talented new perfumer’s creations are as much studies in art and literature, as they are in fragrance mastery, with a series of photographs by London-based artist Cedric Christie specially commissioned for the boxes (see below).
All Han’s fragrances are made by hand from natural ingredients, in small ‘editions’ – very much a connoisseur experience.
