| Complicated Shadows is the deepest version of our Clouds series, and named after an Elivs Costello song. To paraphrase Eric Morecambe, it has all the same notes, but in a different order. The darkness or oakmoss and animalic depth of narcissus absolute have priority. It’s a beautiful, complex creature which gradually reveals hidden strengths and underlying layers during the day and into the evening. Nevertheless, its citrussy greeting give you a scented smile, and the vanilla-tonka gourmand stratum make it easily wearable. You just get the feeling that there’s something about it you don’t know and you’ll never find out. |
