‘One ring to rule them all…’ with Boucheron Quatre eau de parfum…

The Quatre ring was created at Maison Boucheron in 2004 – inspired by four magnificent jewels from their heritage archives and entwined to become one. Now the Quatre symbolism is carried through to their just-launched Boucheron Quatre Eau de Parfum – an exclusive to Harrods that will glitter its way to other select department stores later this month.

Boucheron tell us: ‘Founded more than 155 years ago, Boucheron was the very first jeweller to open its doors at the Place Vendôme in 1893 in the most sun-lit corner of the square. Today, this sunlight illuminates all the facets of the Maison. Their mastery in the art of jewellery shines throughout Boucheron’s creations, as does a reflection of exceptional brilliance.’

Can’t afford the jewels…? Console yourself with spritzing on the Boucheron Quatre spirit, via their this new fragrance – created  by three noses entwined (almost a shame it couldn’t be four, to echo the Quatre!): Antoine Maisondieu, Nadège Le Garlantezec and Natalie Gracia-Cetto.

Sparkling notes of bitter orange and redcurrant finally give way to the heart of rose and jasmine (but with a twist), before a golden veil of soft musk and cedar decends in the final flourish. The twist in the heart comes from blending the opulent notes rose and jasmine in a distinctive new ingredient – Pétalia™ – created exclusively by Givaudan, where velvety rose becomes even more powdery and has a touch of juicy lychee to freshen the note.

Quite simply: dazzling…

Top notes: essence of bitter orange, green tangerine, Brésil Orpur™ essence, éclat of red current, wild strawberry
Heart notes: absolute Sambac jasmine , absolute rose, Pétalia™
Base notes: golden wood, Orpur™ cedar, Cashemeran, musks
