Vetiver is one of perfumery’s most intriguing ingredients, sourced from the roots of a tall grass: grounding, almost earthy, loved by men and women alike. (The whole Les Infusions de Prada collection is ‘shareable’, but with its fresh-spicy-woodiness, this is probably the most classically so.)
The most prized vetiver comes from Haiti – and it’s that Haitian vetiver which Daniela Andrier chose to showcase in this stunning fresh creation. Here, after an almost zesty overture of lime, Tunisian neroli, Italian bergamot and mandarin, Daniela weaves in an invigorating note of ginger, with breaths of aromatic tarragon and rose alongside the ‘star’ of the show, that vetiver itself.
