What we’re craving right now is fragrances that truly lift our spirits – and Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria scents unfailingly do just that. There are now 12 in the portfolio, these two additions joint collaborations between Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk. Granada Salvia leads us through an Andalusian garden, awakening our senses with pomegranate, blackcurrant, lemon, bergamot, cypress and sage before wrapping us in a hazy cloud of white musks, patchouli and moss.
£63 for 75ml eau de toilette
Lancôme tell us this latest, intensified spin on their blockbuster ‘affirms happiness as the ambition, as a way to live life to the fullest and without making any sacrifices.’ That messaging happens comes to us at the very strangest of times – but if ever there was a scent to open the door to positivity, it’s LVEB’s euphoric burst of pink pepper, bergamot and raspberry, with a floral, velvety heart and a pulsing baseline of vanilla and iris.
From £60 for 30ml eau de parfum
Flowerbomb Dew is just about as radiant as a fragrance gets, frankly. This reinvention of the cult classic captivates with a Delicate Dew Accord comprised of dewy roses and ambrette seed, a Sensual Accord made up of butter-soft orris concrete and the almond-like note of heliotrope, while in the Second-Skin accord, vanilla beans and musks create something truly magical in the conclusion. V&R’s latest has us saying ‘all I want is dew’.
£56 for 30ml eau de parfum
A modern classic for sure, now this compact, now in a pleasingly pebble-like bottle which fits snugly in the palm of your hand. Recall carefree scent memories brought to mind by its nonchalant bouquet of wild berries, white violets, jasmine and sandalwood. Effortless and just so happy-making to wear, we know many young girls who’d love this as their first grown-up bottle of perfume – and women who treasure it still.
£35 for 20ml eau de toilette

London, explain Burberry, is ‘a city of great contrasts and contradictions – traditional yet irreverent, elegant without being pristine.’ This indigo-bottled aromatic-woody creation seeks to capture the duality of our capital city, introducing elements of the unexpected to a traditional composition via the invigorating cleanliness of spearmint oil, lemon and rosemary alongside cool violet leaf. To balance that crispness, amber and oakmoss beckon the wearer into the shadows – where we’re happy to follow.
