Harrods reveal their stunning 6th Floor ‘Salon de Parfums’

Harrods continues to innovate as a ‘star’ in luxury retail with a new floor dedicated to fine fragrance. It’s the first in the world of its kind and we’re honoured to have been at the unveiling.

It’s a canvas for selected brands to showcase their most prized and premium scents, with the total focus being on the juice in the bottle and the sense of smell.

Harrods, as usual, have looked at every condition in meticulous detail – including each of the 11 ‘arcade style’ (think Piccadilly’s Burlington Arcade) boutiques having their own air, so that the fragrances won’t ‘cross-pollinate’.  There are chandeliers, there’s ivory (faux!), dusty golds and warm neutrals and most importantly, the most luxurious fragrance brands in the world:  Chanel, Clive Christian, Creed, Dior, Guerlain, Henry Jacques, Tom Ford, Xerjoff, Bond No. 9, By Kilian, and of course, Roja Dove. All in all, a museum-like corridor of wonderment!

It has the same ethos that is the beauty of the icon that is Harrods – you can pop along simply for the experience and to marvel at the gems, or alternatively, you can receive the ultimate in bespoke fragrance profiling, in line with the store’s reputation for ‘haute luxe’. Either way, it is a pioneering step towards ‘finding your signature scent’ – and we’re pretty sure you won’t have seen anything like it before.
