Fresh refreshes their Marylebone High Street (and brings back some ‘lost scent loves’)

It’s easy to find Fresh‘s fragrances in the US – less so in the UK, where the only outlet (though watch this space) is in Selfridges, and at their own store on Marylebone High Street.

That boutique just got a beautiful makeover – as you can see here: it’s been fitted out with antique bakery and library finds, upcycled and reclaimed materials, as well as a specially commissioned chandelier in the shape of ‘molecules’: the overall vibe is modern and vintage, rolled into one. Divided into five distinct areas showcasing different collections of skincare, fragrance and bodycare, anything you’re giving as a present can be beautifully wrapped at the Gift Bar, with wonderful artisan wrapping papers.

And the revamp also features this samovar-style fragrance-filling station (the ‘Sensorial Bar’, as they call it). Even better news: the ‘filling station’ revives some lost scent loves from Fresh‘s portfolio – including (right now) the wonderful Love, Cucumber Baie, Pear Cassis and (our favourite) Patchouli Pure: a patchouli with a sheer touch that never tips into 60s hippiedom. The selection will be changing (we’re keeping fingers crossed for the return of Sweet Pea, a friend’s former fragrance love – although of course we’ve pointed her in the direction of FR.eD for a replacement…)

It’s currently also the place to discover Fresh’s latest: Honeysuckle – as summery as it gets, softly garlanding you with this sweetly fragrant favourite flower.

And the store itself? A fresh and lovely way to delight several of your senses, all in one. We’ll be back.
