A fragrant tea party with Abbey Clancy and Avon

Strictly winner Abbey Clancy held a bespoke tea party at The Langham, London, to celebrate the launch of Avon‘s Cherish eau de perfume. Sitting alongside her mother, Karen – who, by the way, is equally stunning; not difficult to see where Abbey gets her looks from – Abbey beamed as she described how delighted she was to be asked to front Avon‘s latest fragrance campaign, and how extra special it was to be sharing this experience with her mum. ‘I’m just so thrilled to be doing this with her, it means the world to me! I really love the perfume itself and the bottle is really stunning, too.’

Inspired by the unique bond that exists between mothers and daughters, Cherish tenderly blends jasmine Sambac with a smooth sandalwood and gentle yet lingering trail of musk. Rather appropriately, Cherish is really all about the heart – fresh raspberry infused with pink peppercorns, mimosa blossoms and the intensely feminine scent of peonies.

The Langham put on a sumptuous spread inspired by the floral notes within Cherish, some of the mini macarons and delicious delicacies were almost (almost!) too pretty to eat. You may be assured we gave it our very best go, though, all in the name of rigorous research, and it was so lovely to discover that Abbey is just as bubbly and down-to-earth in person as she comes across on screen.

Released in time for Mother’s Day, Abbey talked about how much she relished the chance not only to be the face of a new fragrance, but to truly thank her mum for everything she’s done. ‘To front Avon‘s new Cherish fragrance is a dream – I love it. It’s the perfect Mother’s Day gift to show the special ladies in your life how much you cherish their love, support and friendship. My mum has always been my inspiration so it’s fantastic that we have been given the opportunity of working together.’
