FRAGRANCE FAMILY: FLORAL
The house of Annick Goutal has a long and pioneering history: one of the very first and most exciting of the contemporary independent perfume houses, now renowned over the globe. Today, there’s a wide portfolio of fragrances, now created by Camille Goutal in tandem with her perfumers, with something for every perfume-lover.
Rose Pompon is Annick Goutal’s flirtiest yet: for the ‘charming and mischievous’ woman, Rose Pompon is the breath you take whilst ambling in the rose garden.’
Perfectly balanced, it is a perfume of true harmony: a touch of pink pepper blended with a blackcurrant, equally sweet and green, to make the top sparkle dazzlingly. It moves on on to velvety raspberry that mixes charmingly with an oh-so-delicate duo of roses – Bulgarian rose (all fresh and dewy), and Ta’if rose, a touch more seductive.
Peony then fuses with cedar, patchouli and a subtle, powdery white musk, delivering a sweetness that is coy, not overwhelming. Taking its name from rose-adorned bushes – which from far away look like little pink pom-poms – the traditional, iconic flacon has been given fuchsia accents, just for Rose Pompon.
It begs for a beautiful dressing table, on which to sit prettily.
