If you’re looking outside at the (frankly dismal) British summer weather and need a bit of a pick-me-up – we have just the ticket to get those temperatures rising…
Swaggeringly confident, full of raw sexuality and the spirit of the great outdoors, one whiff and you’re likely to be carried off in a scented reverie. But that’s enough about Johnny Depp, and on to the launch of Dior‘s Sauvage fragrance – Mr. Depp being the face of their campaign.
Inspired by wild, open spaces, blue sky above rocky landscapes and a swooningly hot sun – Sauvage is not at all like it’s forerunner, Eau Sauvage – this is all about the desert’s shimmering heat, and offers a far warmer (some may say steamy) concotion to tempt the senses. Watch the epic-film-squeezed-into-a-short-ad film by Dior, below.
In-house perfumer for Dior, François Demachy, created this latest fragrance and it is described as ‘…radically fresh, raw and noble at the same time’ the composition comprising of fresh top notes of Calabrian bergamot that quickly melt into the ambroxan, obtained from precious ambergris, and a deliciously dry, woody trail that melds slowly to a skin-like muskiness that lasts all day. Seriously good – and although we highly approve of ‘the face’, the fragrance more than delivers on the advert’s promise!
