With another London Fashion Week season looming, one thing’s for certain… Fashionistas out there want to be feeling and looking “show-ready fabulous” at all times. With editors from the world’s glossies hot-footing it from show-to-show with nary a second to spare, they have to get refreshed en-route to avoid looking as tired as they feel.
Looks that will last the whole day through are key to any of us at any time, though, not just for Fashion Week! One of the most frequently asked questions we’re asked, is ‘how can I make my perfume last longer?‘ – one of the solutions being to spray your hairbrush with your favourite perfume and comb through for a waft of loveliness all day… the problem being, many perfumes will dry and damage the hair because of the alcohol base, or conversely are too greasy because of the high oil content.
Perfume houses and hair-care brands have cottoned on to this new demand and are suddenly releasing specialised hair fragrances for the style-savvy perfume lover on-the-go…
Blo Blow Dry bar in Covent Garden asked The Perfume Society to pick some of the hottest hair fragrances around and match them to signature blow dry looks from their extensive salon menu. Selecting five of Blo Blow Dry Bar’s most popular (and currently on-trend) looks, our Senior Writer, Suzy Nightingale investigates why hair fragrances have become such an emerging trend in the world of perfumery.
Working in collaboration with the help of Blo’s Senior Stylist, Ana, Suzy learned about the most popular blow dry looks, and matched each style to a perfect hair perfume – and now you can see them in action in our exclusive video. Click above to watch!
All the blow-dry looks and specially matched hair fragrances in the video are as follows…
