Bella Freud’s first foray into the world of fragrance

Turning her attention to perfumery, Fashion Designer Bella Freud has released a trio of scents, each perfectly capturing a different mood.

Working alongside Perfume Designer Azzi Glasser, the pair have distilled three different olfactory delights going by same names as her ever-popular hand-poured candles.

Je t’aime Jane is a feminine blend of jasmine, ylang ylang, Queen of the Night flower and orange blossom, followed by a dry down of black oudh, musk and creamy sandalwood.

Conjuring up the hedonistic bohemianism of the era via accords of vetiver, frankincense, patchouli and sandalwood, 1970 is an incense-y scent while Ginsberg is God offers a mix of resins, moss, leather, black pepper and elemi essential oil to evoke the image of a ‘tousled headed poet surrounded by books and papers.’

Bella Freud Je t’aime Jane, Ginsberg is God and 1970, £65 for 50ml eau de parfum
