Say hello to B. Balenciaga. The fragrance many of us have been long-anticipating since Alexander Wang’s fashion week debut as Creative Director of the brand in February 2013.
Created by perfumer of IFF, Domitille Bertier, the new fragrance boasts a woody, green aroma – which is perfecting fitting, really.
The composition includes top notes of lily of the valley, violet leaves and edamame peas followed by a heart of otis and cedar – all rounded off nicely with ambrette seed and cashmere wood in the base.
Endeavouring to create something truly unique and transfer the DNA of the brand into scent, Alexander Wang has said it took ‘a lot of soul-searching’ to create, but that he wanted to ensure ‘every element required in the process of evaluation of what had been done and what had never been done before.’
The scent is already off to a flying start with model Anna Ewers fronting the campaign and proving herself every bit the designers latest muse.
