A fragrant recollection of Serge Lutens childhood

When Serge Lutens releases a new fragrance, we know it’ll be a scent that not only smells incredibly beautiful, but also makes us think.

This is precisely what L’Orpheline (The Orphan Girl) does. Inspired by memories of his own childhood – namely the painful experience of growing up without his mother – the fragrance inhibits a incredibly poetic concept, which you can witness for yourself in the video below.

It blends aldehydes at the top alongside a ultimately woody composition of heart and base notes including cedar, coumarin, patchouli, incense and cashmeran.
